I am contemplating an Evil Deed

One of my cats, Meeps, is a scratch-aholic. She’s absolutely mangling the woodwook and bookcases and my tolerance is at an end. C’s tolerance ended long ago.

However I have a string moral opposition to declawing so I’m debating putting Soft Paws on her. You can see them on their website. They are basically soft vinyl claw covers. I think perhaps a lovely red would look nice on her pure black diva fur…..

In the meantime I’m asking anyone who has used them to let me know their experiences.

Of course I may need an ER visit after inflicting them on her.

Just a Rough Day

Having a pity party today so probably no writing.

Maybe some nice crying and some chocolate instead. Well, already did the crying - I’ll try the chocolate when M has gone to bed and I don’t have to explain that on top of the crying.

I’m so lucky to have such a loving boy - I’m sometimes just really sorry and feel very guilty when he gets exposed to something that distresses him.

Sigh…..

Maybe I can at least get some test reading done….

A Day of Crafting

Well, I did get something done today - I made over 100 book thongs for future give aways!

Some test reading got done as well.

I do need to work on contest judging I volunteered for - maybe tomorrow.

Maybe I just need to clone myself!

Snow? In March?

Now when I moved to Puget Sound from Southern California, I spent several years adjusting to the point I didn’t always have to wear heavy coats. We had a few snow days a year - nothing too bad and even I could cope.

But by March it was warming up to start to feel like Spring.

But this year we got 4-5 inches of snow on February 28th! What the heck???

About half remained after today - we’ll see what is left tomorrow. At least it might have been good for C and M’s snow tubing day after work.
