One of the downsides to living in the Pacific NorthWet is that we get wind storms. Not like tornados or hurricanes but still really annoying. Today we had one, a bit earlier than the norm but not too strong.
Like rats deserting a sinking ship, people started leaving work at about… oh… 2pm. The freeways were a disaster by 3:30.
I had a 4pm meeting and got home about 5:30. C and I took Morganator out to McDonald’s — his treat for being good in school. According to our UPS, the power went out within the next 5 to 10 minutes.

when we called, there were 100,000 out of power that were serviced by our power co.
Thankfully it came back on about 8:15 or I’d not be posting this :)

I didn’t get nearly as much done as I wanted to today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Day 2 of the Seventy Days of Sweat and I’m now at 2841 words or 189% of my goal.

Dawn nudged me to update my progress.
I signed up for 750 words a day.
Last night I wrote 1445 words.
That puts me at 193% of goal :)
