Elisa Rolle Reviews Giving Thanks!

The lovely Elisa Rolle has reviewed Giving Thanks on her blog and says (in part):

I like the story: it’s nice and tender. Troy and Derek, despite Derek’s reluctance to come out, are a very communicating and supporting couple; Troy never once makes Derek feel wrong for not presenting him as lover to his family, and never once let Derek without his support, even when Derek is stubbornly invading the kitchen with an huge amount of food they can’t possibly eat in two. On the other hand Derek is very comprehensive of Troy’s work, and how it’s very tiring for his lover, and so he tenderly takes care of him in the best way possible: even when he is suffering for his father’s reject, he still finds time to take care of his lover and to be always open and “straight” to their relationship. Derek doesn’t hide to suffer alone, he shares his pain with a gentle smile on his face.

The story is not very long, 51 pages, but it’s a very nice fast reading in the warm atmosphere of the holiday season.

Jhayboy at Romance Junkies Reviews gave Giving Thanks 4.5 Blue Ribbons and says:

The book has not only that hold your breath moment when you think, ‘please let it work out’ but also some hilarious moment where you just have to say thank God for the in-laws. I really enjoy Ms. Anderson’s GIVING THANKS.

Del Fantasma: Texas Tea – New Reader Review

I stumbled across a great reader review for Del Fantasma: Texas Tea from KatherineT, a participant in the eHarlequin.com boards.

She says: Though I found this story started out rather awkwardly, it picked up interest and pace and I really enjoyed meeting Lara and Matt aka Texas. Lara’s sees herself as an outcast because of her abilities to see and speak to ghosts. Sharing her gift with others has only led her to heartache. Matt is a shape shifter; his other spirit half is Coyote; and he’s too is afraid to reveal his secret for fear of rejection. But something inside both Lara and Matt make them recognize that they are mates. This instinct is so powerful they cannot resist. Matt was adorable in both his shapes; human and coyote. It took me a bit to warm up to Lara, but she came through. I liked that Ms. Anderson allowed the sexual tension to build and the two didn’t make love until almost the end of the book. And wow, the lovemaking was scorching!

You can see her review in person at the eHarlequin.com website. You don’t have to be registered to read them, only to post.

Thank you, KatherineT!

I love to read opinions and reviews of my stories for anyone and everyone. If you’ve posted a review I don’t know about, please let me know!

Giving Thanks is DONE!

Turned it over to test readers and my editor(s) last night. Usually I do a round of test reads before it goes to the editor but I’m late and my editor is most likely debating severe bodily harm. I can still integrate test reader feedback into the edits I get from her, so I’m hoping it will all be good.

The story topped out at 11,344 words, I’d originally estimated it at 8k. Oops.

Here’s a short excerpt (behind the cut because it’s ADULT)
