This is very sad for me since AMP was my first fiction publisher and I’ve been with them since the beginning.

I’m so pleased to finally be able to announce that the Hot Comfort anthology is finally available from Manlove Romance Press!

This print anthology includes my two stories – Bittersweet and Giving Thanks – as well as stories by Jet Mykles, Kimberly Gardner and Luisa Prieto.

Although this was a short book Ms Anderson managed to pack it full of wonderful characters who dealt with a surprising revelation in differing yet believable ways. I really liked both Troy and Derek and the family member’s that come for dinner were a wonderful addition to the book. The ultimate resolution to the book was, I thought, handled quite well and the epilogue was the icing to the sweet love story. A truly enjoyable book.

A quick, pleasurable read, Giving Thanks with have us all Giving Thanks for this wonderful tale by Maura Anderson.

I have a number of friends who are gay, so reading a story about a man who finally comes out to his family was something that really struck a chord for me. Sure, GIVING THANKS may be a work of fiction, but it had an undeniable chord of truth in it. For many gay men and women, coming out to the people closest to them is unbelievably frightening.

This man is all about doing whatever the man he loves needs. Wow. Would that we all had someone like this in our life, eh?

But that isn’t all the story has to offer. The happy ending Maura Anderson delivers in this brief but emotionally rich story involves more than just the two lovers.

Bravo to Maura Anderson for delivering a story that so poignantly depicts a major event in a gay man’s life in such an honest way, but still finding the happy ever after these two princes deserve together.
